General Terms of Service

Welcome to Jetson! These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (https://jetsonhome.com/), products, and services (collectively, “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

1. Use of Services

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use our Services. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information as requested during the use of our Services. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password.

2. Orders and Payment

When you place an order for our products or services, you agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information. We may require a deposit or full payment before beginning work. Payment terms, including deposits, will be clearly communicated to you before purchase. All payments must be made in accordance with these Terms and any other payment terms presented during the order process.

3. Quotes and Installations

Our Services may provide you with a quote for products or installation services based on the information you provide. Quotes are estimates and may be subject to change depending on site conditions or additional requirements. Any additional costs will be communicated to you prior to installation. Installation dates are subject to scheduling availability.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Jetson or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use any content from our website without our express written permission.

5. Prohibited Conduct

By using our Services, you agree not to:

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jetson and its affiliates, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services. This includes but is not limited to damages for loss of profits, goodwill, data, or other intangible losses.

7. Warranty Disclaimer

Our Services are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Jetson does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Privacy

Your use of our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding personal information.

9. Changes to Terms

Jetson reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Terms. Your continued use of our Services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of British Columbia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in North Vancouver, British Columbia to resolve any dispute or claim arising from these Terms.

Basic Warranty, Jetson Care & Care Plus Terms & Conditions

Introduction

This page explains the terms of your Jetson Basic Warranty, and the additional coverage and benefits available through an optional subscription to Jetson Care Plus.

By purchasing a Jetson product and/or subscribing to Jetson Care Plus, you accept these terms and conditions.

1. Basic Warranty (Included with All Jetson Installed Systems)

Warranty Coverage

When you purchase a Jetson system (heat pump and any Jetson-installed accessories), the following warranty applies:

Heat Pump System: Indoor Unit, Outdoor Unit

Accessories: Thermostat, Hub, Air Quality Sensor, Energy Monitor

After-Warranty Repair Costs

If service is required after the applicable warranty period:

Emergency After-Hours Service

Jetson will prioritize emergency service requests within 48 hours. Response times may be delayed during extreme weather events or other circumstances beyond Jetson’s control (e.g., natural disasters or global pandemics).

To schedule emergency service, the homeowner must be available and work with Jetson to confirm a suitable time for technician access.

Emergency service and repairs provided outside regular business hours is charged $500 CAD/USD + hourly labour rate.

What Basic Warranty does not include

All warranty coverage can be voided by the following:

Jetson reserves the right to deny warranty service if unauthorized repairs or modifications have been performed.

2. Jetson Care Terms of Service (Optional Subscription Plan)

Overview

Jetson Care is an optional subscription service that provides proactive system management, priority service, and premium app features for your Jetson system.

Jetson Care coverage is available for systems installed by Jetson, at the original installation location, while your subscription is active.

You may add Jetson Care at any time, including at the time of installation.

Coverage begins on your subscription start date (no waiting period). Remote monitoring and software features begin once the system is online and connected to Wi‑Fi.

Coverage Benefits

Emergency Service & Repairs

Emergency service is available for Jetson Care subscribers. Standard service fees apply for repairs, including the after‑hours service fee under Basic Warranty. Jetson Care does not waive diagnostic, labour, or parts fees for repairs. For zero‑cost repairs, see Jetson Care Plus.

Additional Terms

Subscription Start Date

Your Jetson Care subscription starts on your subscription start date. If added at installation, it starts when installation is completed.

Maintenance and Fees

Maintenance visits are included with Jetson Care. Repair diagnostics, labour, and parts for non‑warranty issues are billed at then‑current rates unless otherwise covered under Basic Warranty.

Coverage Location

Coverage applies only to systems at the original installation site.

Unauthorized Repairs

Unauthorized repairs or modifications void Jetson Care coverage.

Changes to Subscription Fees

Jetson reserves the right to adjust Jetson Care subscription fees no more than once per calendar year to reflect increases in the cost of providing the service, including but not limited to increases in the cost of labour and parts. CPI caps mirror Jetson Care Plus.

If you do not agree with the fee adjustment, you may cancel your Jetson Care subscription at any time before the new fee takes effect. Your subscription will continue at the current fee until the cancellation is effective.

Cancellation

You may cancel Jetson Care at any time without penalty. Coverage will revert to the Basic Warranty based on your original installation date. Refunds are not provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

Home Ownership Transfer

When you sell your home and transfer home ownership through Jetson, your Jetson Care subscription will be cancelled. The new homeowner may start their own Jetson Care subscription at any time. Coverage begins on the new subscription start date once the system is online and connected to Wi‑Fi.

Multiple Systems

A Jetson Care subscription applies to a specific Jetson system, not to a home or address. If a home has multiple Jetson systems, a separate subscription is required for each system to ensure full coverage. Only the system with an active Care subscription will receive Care benefits; all other systems will remain under the Basic Warranty. This also applies to customers with systems installed across multiple homes; each system must have its own subscription to be covered under Care.

Jetson Home App Premium Features

As part of your Jetson Care subscription, you'll get access to Jetson Home premium features in the mobile app.

Service Requirements

If Jetson’s remote monitoring detects an issue that requires action, whether by the customer or by a Jetson technician, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the issue is addressed in a timely manner. Taking action helps maintain system health and avoid preventable issues that could lead to repairs, performance loss, or system replacement. Failure to do this can lead to voiding Care coverage.

Regular Care and Maintenance

The homeowner is required to perform basic care of the equipment. This includes, but not limited to, regularly changing filters and ensuring there is no debris in or around the outdoor unit. Failure to perform this basic care may result in repair charges to remedy the resulting issues.

Wi-Fi Connectivity

An active Wi-Fi connection is required for Jetson to perform 24/7 remote system monitoring and detect issues that could affect system health and performance. If a system remains disconnected from Wi-Fi for more than 30 consecutive days, Jetson Care coverage may be voided.

3. Jetson Care Plus Terms of Service (Optional Subscription Plan)

Overview

In addition to Jetson Care, Jetson Care Plus adds 10 years of complete coverage (parts & labour) and includes every repair, tune-up, and check-in during the coverage period, along with priority service and proactive system management for your Jetson system.

Jetson Care Plus coverage is available for systems installed by Jetson, at the original installation location, while your subscription is active.

You may add Jetson Care Plus:

If added after installation, Jetson Care Plus coverage begins 90 days after the subscription start date.

Coverage Benefits

Emergency Service & Repairs

If your system experiences a failure that affects its ability to heat, cool, or operate safely, and you are subscribed to Jetson Care Plus, you may request an Emergency Service & Repairs visit at no charge. There are no labour, part, or service fees for Emergency Service & Repairs while subscribed to Jetson Care Plus.

Additional Terms

Subscription Start Date Your Jetson Care Plus subscription starts the day the system installation is completed.

System Replacement Guarantee

If your system becomes unrepairable during the 10‑year guarantee period, Jetson will replace it free of charge.

No Additional Fees

There are no diagnostic, labour, or parts fees for covered issues while subscribed to Jetson Care Plus.

Coverage Location

Coverage applies only to systems at the original installation site.
