Jetson Home today began rolling out Air Quality Monitoring, a new feature in the Jetson Home app that lets customers see the quality of the air inside their home. Because every Jetson Air system already includes built-in air quality sensors, the feature works on existing installations right away, with no new hardware to buy and nothing to set up.
Every Jetson customer will see an overall Air Quality Score in the app, a single, easy-to-read measure of how clean the air in their home is at any given moment. Customers on Jetson Care get a more detailed view on top of that, including individual pollutant readings and a rolling 7-day history so they can see how the air in their home changes over time.
Air quality is measured while your system is actively heating, cooling, or circulating air, so a reading becomes available after the system has been running for a few minutes. When the system isn't running, the app shows the most recent measurement, so there's always a recent value to check.
Indoor air quality is one of the parts of home comfort people rarely get to see. Cooking, cleaning, wildfire smoke, and everyday activity all affect the air inside a home, and until now most homeowners had no simple way to know what was actually in it. Because a Jetson Air system is already moving and conditioning the air in the house, it's well positioned to measure that air and make it visible to the people living there.
